currently

My brain has been spinning with ideas for scrapbooks, albums, minibooks and other documentation projects. I have up to 2015 planned and outlined. I actually lose sleep over this stuff. My brain physically can't stop thinking about it. Then I play candy crush and pet rescue saga to try to fall asleep... and we all know how that works out. I love when I'm full of creative energy and feeling super inspired.

Happy weekend.

what we did//may 2013 - part IV

MAY28TUE We woke up early and headed to Pasadena to drop off the rental equipment. We grabbed breakfast from McDonald's and then headed to San Diego. The drive took about two hours and I think we only had to stop once. We went straight to the caves in La Jolla, took pictures of the water and (I) stared at the seals for a while. We went down the stairs to the bottom of the cave, stayed for a few minutes (it's pretty tiny) and then went back up. After the caves, we went to the famous Phil's BBQ for lunch where we got ribs and chicken. After lunch, we decided to go visit the Birch Aquarium at Scripps which was small but nice. We saw pretty jellies and the ocean view from the aquarium was really nice. After the aquarium we went to to Extraordinary Desserts (we went to the one in Little Italy) where we got the cherry chocolate chip cookie, white chocolate linzer torte, mini brownie and a cappuccino. There are so beautiful choices that it was kind of overwhelming to pick just one dessert. We had some time before dinner so we drove around and found Sunset Cliffs on the map and decided to go because it sounded pretty. I didn't even yelp it but it got great reviews and I'm so glad we happened to find it because it is probably my favorite spot for viewing the ocean. After the cliffs, we drove to CVS and then drove to Balboa Park for dinner. We ate at The Prado where there is amazing outdoor seating, great food and really really great service. We decided to go since we had heard that they had a phenomenal kobe roll (yes, we went there just for the rolls) so we ordered that, tortilla soup and paella. After dinner we headed home (lots of traffic and construction) and stopped by Irvine to visit a friend. We finally made it home around 1am (I think) and then finished packing my things to leave the next morning.
