Philly 2013 - part 1

MAY10FRI I flew to Philadelphia early in the morning from O'Hare and arrived in PA around 10:30am. I took the train from the airport (I just kind of got on a random one) and luckily got to Market East in one piece. I wandered around and did some shopping at Open House and visited some paper stores downtown. I found some amazing letterpress cards at Open House and bought three (unfortunately not the bacon one, but Simon, I thought of you when I saw it!). I then walked back to the Reading Terminal for lunch but was so overwhelmed because it was lunchtime on a Friday and I had my suitcase with me. After stumbling around for a while, I ended up getting the roast pork sandwich at DiNic's and brought it to Elyssa's to eat. I was let in by Elyssa's family and Elyssa got home from work early in the afternoon. We chatted and chatted and chatted and then got ready to go to happy hour at Graffiti Bar / Sampan. The outdoor bar area was too crowded so we ended up getting seats in front of the restaurant. Elyssa's friend Rachael joined us and we ordered lots of delicious food (brussel sprouts were my fav) and drinks. After dinner, we went to meet some of Elyssa's friends and hung out for a little while. We then met up with Ariana + Jeff and went back to Elyssa's apartment where we unknowingly passed out for a little bit. Me and E went to go pick up Cliff from the airport and then went back home to get Ariana and Jeff for a quick trip to Pat's to get cheesesteaks (my first time having a philly cheesesteak). We ate back at the apartment and spent the night talking and watching Elyssa do strange things to her nose.
