Sugar + molasses = brown sugar. WHY HAVE I NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE.

Why this is important: because brown sugar is expensive. because brown sugar is impossible to store. because brown sugar never stays fresh. because brown sugar is only sold in tiny packages or industrial size ones that are eight thousand pounds. because it's easy and you'll never run out of it (unless you run out of white sugar or molasses).
